Battlestar Galactica End

Man I was so pissed. Almost 3 years later after watching Battlestar Galactica (BSG) I expected a really good end. I was so pissed last night that I really had enough with these kind of shows.

Let me start that I was extremely pissed when the writers strike hit, but now in retrospect I got über pissed as it took them almost a whole year to come up with this....

The beginning of the show started good, it had potential. The human drama was new for a Sci-Fi which was nice. But it started to get weary at one time. About halfway season 3 I started to get more and more questions. When they started with disclosing the Final 5 I was expecting a lot, but alas....

When watching the last webisode I realised something was really off. Their focus on the human drama resulted into loosing their story line and their plot. It was confirmed when Ron Moore even made some statements in the interview that made me think they ran out of money, miscalculated the show and just made something up to end it. The message they showed in the end about humans and machines was obsolete. I mean thats how the show started, why end it like that. And what is with God?

Some questions:

1. Who slipped the note under Adama's door in the beginning of the series telling him the number of Human Cylon models?
2. Why on earth let Anders fly the fleet into the sun? What moron would do that? Use the ships to build something.
3. Aha, so they landed and from that point it took humanity 150,000 years.... whatever....
4. They mentioned several Base Ships from John's colony that were not present when they attacked the colony. So I guess they shot themselves as well?
5. So Starbuck was an angel....sigh,
6. etc.

I think ending the show like this was cheap, despite what people claim on the net, it was cheap. All this talk about how great it would be, I am sorry it was a big dissapointment.

I agree!

The ending was absolutely horrible :-/.

2) The point was to destroy civilization to break the cycle. Absurd, i know :-(.

3) They assimilated into the humans already existing on the planet. I think the main theme was that this whole human vs. robots thing is cyclical and theres nothing anyone can do about it (hence the robots dancing at the end).

4) Not sure about this one, maybe i missed an episode or two :P.

5) Apparently...yet EVERYONE can see her??

6) :-(
